HALF DAY: CHINATOWN

Together with your guide, today you will explore Cholon, aka “Chinatown”, a prosperous bustling is which has been engaged in trading activities since the 17th century. Known for its Chinese delis, ancient quarters, old temples and pagodas, the area reflects original architecture and age-old rituals. 

Move on to visit the Thien Hau Pagoda, which was built by the Canton Congregation in the early 19th century. This pagoda is dedicated to Thien Hau, the Chinese Goddess of the Sea who protects fishermen, sailors, merchants and other sea travellers

Next you will pass by medicine herb street, the area in Chinatown where locals flock here to buy medicine herb for their retail shops.

Then your guide and driver will transfer you to Fito Museum, the first traditional medicine museum in Vietnam. The museum shows how traditional herbs and medicine have been developed in Vietnam throughout history. The museum also showcases a collection of ancient medical tools. Your guide will take you around the museum and help you to learn more about Vietnamese culture through traditional medicine and practices.

After exploring the museum, your guide will return you to your hotel.
